It went a little like this:
Mr. BossMan: Hey Joy, you are going to California to do some work.
Me: California? Great! I've never been! When?
Mr. BossM: Tomorrow.
Me: Uh, ok. When do I get back?
Mr. BM (I'm sticking with this moniker from here on out!): The day after.
Me: Oh. Well at least I'll have time for a snack while I'm there.... gheeesh....
In all fairness, though I had only 90 minutes to myself, I did manage to walk over to San Francisco Bay and get a few pics....
I felt I should take a shot of the street sign, just in case I forgot this lightning fast trip ever happened.
I wound up working over the bridge in Oakland. There are no pictures of there though - too much work to do!
I did manage to whip out Click real fast as we were driving on the bridge and got this:

There is a lovely boardwalk along the Bay-I found it to be very quiet and relaxing, there was hardly anyone there on a Saturday afternoon (which I thoroughly enjoyed, but found kinda odd)...
And then I saw this:
Hey you! Where is your heart? .... Oh - I left it in San Francisco!
And then I saw this:
The boardwalk is called "The Embarcadero", derived from the Spanish embarcar, meaning the place to embark...Never would have guessed that....hmmm.....Those palm trees over there? The only ones I saw! Where are all those beautiful palms I see on TV all the time? Oh - that's in L.A.? Great. These will suffice then.
Heading back to the hotel I definitely noticed I was walking uphill.... a steep one at that....
Nice meeting you San Francisco. Don't worry - next time I won't stay so long!
That does look like a guy up there!
